When the Outlook PST file is damaged or corrupted by some reason the if you attempt to open the file then will get error message. The Error message will be something like this:
Errors have been detected in the file abcd.pst. Quit Outlook and all mail-enabled applications, and then use the Inbox repair tool(Scanpst.exe) to diagnose and repair errors in the file. For more information about the Inbox repair tool, see Help.
Note: Here the abcd is the name of the Corrupted outlook PST file.

The PST file is made up of two parts. First is the file header and second is the data part. The File header is used to contain the information about the whole file like:
When the Microsoft Outlook tries to open the outlook PST file then first it starts to read the header part to verify its information. If the verification fails then it will report “The file abcd.pst is not a personal folders file” error. If it does not find any error in data header part then it continues reading the data part and if there it finds any problems then it gives the error message as mentioned above.
Many times scanpst.exe can not repair the error since it is not so capable to repair the error of the data part. So you need some other application that should be so capable to repair the corruption in the PST file from every section. Outlook PST Repair is available to do just the same. It can recover the corrupted data from the PST file and make the PST healthy and usable once again.
It also solve the oversize PST issue and gives the total solution from all kinds of problems that are created with Outlook PST. It is available as a free download trial for the users to be satisfied first before the purchase. So the next time when you get the error message Errors Have Been Detected in the File, you know the right solution to take care of it.

It's really difficult to get back Outlook data after a system crash. But I easily get back the entire lost data even after my system crash with the help of Outlook PST Repair software.
Thank you again for the great help!
